So – you want to learn to dive? Great decision!
Sorry no training available at this time October 2020
We train every Tuesday night at 8:30 – 9:30pm in the pool at Musselburgh Sports Centre (details below), so you can come along to any session and chat to the members there. Alternatively you can contact any of the committee members on this site; they will be glad to discuss with you what scuba diving in Scotland is all about.
We also welcome new members who are already qualified through BSAC, PADI or other UK organisations. Depending on your level of qualification and experience crossover assessments may be required, which will lead to ScotSAC qualification. Similarly we welcome members from other ScotSAC branches who may have moved to the area.
The Club runs a ‘Come & Try’ night every year where we can give potential new members a taste of scuba diving in the safe environment of the pool. You will be given basic instruction on how to operate scuba equipment and will then make a short dive with an instructor. We also take on new trainees throughout the year according to instructor availability.
When you join MuSAC you also join ScotSAC, which gives you third party insurance for when you dive. You also receive training manuals, a log book to record your dives, and subscription to Scottish Diver magazine.
